September 2024 Gun Auction Executive Summary
The September 2024 auction featured notable military and service firearms alongside classic American handguns and high-grade sporting arms. M1 Garands and M1 Carbines were prominent among the most-watched lots, while Colt 1911-pattern pistols, European military rifles and premium sporting guns also drew substantial attention.
A Westley Richards Type A .318 Accelerated Express rifle produced the highest firearm hammer price at $6,200, followed by a Wilkinson Arms .400/.450 double rifle at $6,000. Other standout results included a Holland & Holland Royal Hammerless Ejector 12-gauge shotgun at $4,800, a Springfield Armory M1A with ART sniper scope at $3,000, and a Poly Tech AKS-762 at $2,800.
Bidder-interest rankings were led by two lots with 126 watches: a Colt 1911A1 and an H&R M1 Garand. The Poly Tech AKS-762 was the most-viewed eligible sold firearm with 421 views, followed by a MasterPiece Arms M11 at 411 views, while the U.S. Army Colt 1911A1 and another Colt 1911A1 also ranked highly by views.
