November 2024 Gun Auction Executive Summary
The November 2024 auction reflected strong collector interest in U.S. military arms, classic Colt handguns, German service pistols and Mauser-pattern rifles, along with modern sporting rifles. Military-marked Winchester and Remington Model 1917 rifles, the Winchester Model 97 trench-style shotgun, Colt 1911-pattern pistols, and European military handguns were especially prominent among the curated sold results.
A Colt Trump 45 Government Model produced the auction's highest firearm hammer price at $6,000, followed by a Smith & Wesson Model 500 at $3,200 and a U.S.-marked Winchester Model 97 at $2,300. Other standout results included a Molot VEPR 7.62x39 rifle at $1,900 and both an Izhmash Saiga 7.62x39 rifle and a threaded-barrel Walther PPK at $1,800.
Bidder-interest rankings showed sustained attention for the Winchester Model 97, Mauser C96, Colt M1911A1, Mauser P38, and matching-number Tula SKS. Several of these lots also ranked highly by views, while the Colt Trump 45 drew the auction's highest view count among eligible sold firearms.
