February 2024 Gun Auction Executive Summary

The February 2024 auction reflected particularly strong collector interest in U.S. military rifles, CMP-documented M1 Garands and M1903A3 rifles, German service pistols, and other historically styled military arms. Sporting shotguns and classic American lever actions also appeared prominently among the curated results.
An Ohio Ordnance Works 1918A3 produced the auction’s highest firearm hammer price at $4,200. An H&K HK91 and a Black Bear Browning 1919A4-style rifle each brought $3,800, followed by an Izhevsk SVT-40 at $3,200 and a Coonan Arms .357 Magnum 1911-pattern pistol at $2,900.
Bidder-interest rankings showed sustained attention for the Winchester Model 1897 trench-gun clone, IBM M1 Carbine, multiple Springfield and H&R M1 Garands, CMP M1903A3 rifles, the Mauser C96, and the DWM P08 Luger. Several military-pattern lots appeared across multiple rankings, demonstrating broad pre-auction attention as well as strong realized prices.
