It was damaged, ( Stock cracked), in transit, and so was returned to Winchester /Cooey where it was acquired by an employee. When the Manufacture closed its Canadian operation in 1979, the employee moved to the United States to work for the Hartford, Connecticut plant, bringing this gun with him. When he died, his widow sold it to me through a Massachusetts gun shop for the Bucky Hartwell Collection. Part of Winchester's commemorative "Yellow Boy Indian Carbine" series, this carbine features a brass-finished receiver with scroll and a smooth walnut stock and Forend with brass barrel band. The blued round magazine tube contrasts handsomely against the warm brass tones. Curved Brass butt plate, Metal works in very good condition with minor tarnishing on brass parts.
