DESCRIPTION
Winchester 94 Matched Set of 1000 .30-30 Collector's Rifle, 20.5" Barrel, Excellent Condition, Lever Action. This is a Winchester matched set. The first rifle, serial #MC815, wears a gold-plated satin finish over wood, with full buckhorn sights and a fine gold bead front, and the barrel is engraved "Matched Set of One Thousand." Its side plates are engraved with a bear and a fighting elk. The second rifle, serial #MR815, features heavily checkered wood and full buckhorn sights with a gold bead front; its receiver is engraved "Hounds Chasing Rabbit and Jumping Grey Squirrel" and its barrel "Matched Set of One Thousand." Both rifles are housed in a red velvet-lined wooden presentation case, accompanied by their original boxes, paperwork, and a letter from the Winchester Group listing the manufacture dates of 8-7-79 for the centerfire and 8-28-80 for the rimfire.
