DESCRIPTION
IBM CORP. U.S. M1 CARBINE 30 CAL. Semi Auto Rifle, 18" Barrel, Very Good Condition, Shiny Bore, Tight Action, sn:3858148 This IBM Corp. U.S. M1 Carbine, chambered in .30 Carbine, is a WWII military semi-auto carbine manufactured in 1944 and standard issue for U.S. officers during World War II. The IBM Corp.-marked 18" barrel has an excellent bore, with fixed front and adjustable rear military sights. Parts count: Round Bolt - A.I. Co., Bolt Carrier - PI, Hammer - MC, Trigger Assembly - N9, Magazine Release - M WA, Magazine - IA, Front Sight - S1 B, Barrel Band with Bayonet Lug - Unmarked, Rear Sight - I. R. Co., Handguard - IN, Stock - appears to be an "O" in the sling recess, and rack number hand-painted at the bottom of the pistol grip. It retains 85% of its blue finish, with some finish wear to the unexposed areas and to the bolt. The smooth wood handguard and stock have finish wear and minor hits, and it has a checkered steel butt plate. There are no import markings. A very desirable M1 Carbine manufacturer. Includes one GB-marked magazine, one IBM-marked magazine, one green canvas magazine carrier marked ALDON 1945, and gun sock.
